Structured Cabling Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer will plan structured cabling projects, develop schedules, review pathways and layouts, and manage installation activities through completion. The role includes validating cable tests, inspecting work, maintaining technical records and asset databases, and closing documentation and punch-list items. It operates within TSMC Arizona’s enterprise IT and advanced manufacturing infrastructure function and requires close collaboration with contractors, vendors, construction, MEP, facilities, and equipment groups. The position suits someone with cabling or network infrastructure experience who can solve field issues, manage suppliers, communicate clearly, and work independently in a demanding, fast-moving environment. The successful candidate must be able to work onsite in Phoenix, enter office, clean-room, and data-center settings, and participate in scheduled 24/7 on-call coverage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, IT, or a related fieldExperience managing installation vendorsKnowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, copper and fiber systems, MPO/MTP, connectors, patch panels, and cable managementUnderstanding of TIA/BICSI/ANSI standards and NEC requirementsAt least 2 years of structured cabling, network infrastructure, or data center deployment experience preferredAbility to work onsite, in clean-room environments, and during scheduled on-call periods
