Program Supplier Quality Engineer

This engineer manages supplier quality activities across multiple commodities supporting aerospace and defense programs. The role translates product and process requirements for suppliers, identifies risks, supports engineering decisions, and leads investigations into nonconformances and quality escapes. Responsibilities include source inspections, First Article Verifications, supplier assessments, design and program reviews, and corrective action programs using Lean, Six Sigma, RCCA, FRACAS, and SCAR methods. The position works closely with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and internal program teams to improve quality, compliance, and delivery performance. It is well suited to a quality or manufacturing engineer with aerospace experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and an active or obtainable U.S. DoD Secret clearance who can work onsite and travel domestically.

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of quality, manufacturing, or related engineering experienceExperience interpreting drawings, inspecting hardware, and reviewing compliance documentationRoot cause analysis and corrective action experienceKnowledge of quality tools such as Pareto analysis, cause-and-effect diagrams, and process mappingAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and Special Access Program access; U.S. citizenship requiredWillingness to work onsite in Tucson and travel domestically, typically about 25% and up to 50%
