CAD and Fabrication Specialist

This specialist serves as the main CAD resource for projects, developing detailed 2D and 3D models that can be efficiently manufactured. They plan fabrication approaches, manage 3D printing and CNC workflows, and help maintain equipment such as routers, laser cutters, and printers. Working with project leads and fabrication staff, they improve production processes, guide technical execution, and help keep projects on schedule. The position suits an experienced designer-maker who is comfortable moving between digital design, shop-floor problem solving, and team leadership. Candidates should be confident with SolidWorks and related CAD/CAM tools and bring substantial experience in manufacturing, digital fabrication, or a comparable hands-on environment.

Requirements

5+ years of CAD modeling, digital fabrication, and CNC machining experienceAdvanced proficiency in SolidWorks with knowledge of Fusion 360 and CreoHands-on experience with CNC machining, CAM programming, and 3D printing operationsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication feasibilityProven ability to lead and guide technical teamsKnowledge of GD&T and construction practices preferred
