Nano Materials Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer will support semiconductor fabrication by investigating raw-material problems, sustaining material operations, and leading analysis or defect-detection projects. The position works closely with suppliers, headquarters, international fabs, and internal teams, including facility personnel, to coordinate improvements and resolve technical issues. Responsibilities also include supplier audits, equipment troubleshooting, process-efficiency enhancements, and occasional travel or overseas collaboration. The role suits a hands-on materials or process engineering professional who can manage projects, communicate across teams, and take ownership of complex problems. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Phoenix, adapting to changing priorities, and supporting occasional weekend shifts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in materials science, chemistry, engineering, physics, optics, or a related fieldKnowledge of semiconductor fabrication, materials engineering, and supply chainsAbility to operate and troubleshoot advanced equipmentExperience with supplier audits, technical assessments, or materials analysisStrong project management, communication, and root-cause problem-solving skillsLegal authorization to work in the United States; semiconductor process engineering experience is preferred
