Engineer I - Foundry (Wafer Foundry Management)

This position supports Microchip’s wafer foundry management function by evaluating supplier costs, contract terms, pricing trends, and sourcing alternatives. The engineer will help prepare negotiation materials, maintain commercial records, coordinate reviews, and track savings, rebates, and supplier commitments. The role also contributes to technology roadmaps, RFIs and RFQs, executive reporting, budget forecasting, and supply risk mitigation. It is suited to a recent electrical engineering graduate with strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and business judgment skills. Candidates should be interested in semiconductor manufacturing, sourcing, supplier strategy, and cross-functional operations.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with an MBA0–2.5 years of professional experienceFoundational knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain operationsStrong quantitative, analytical, and business insight skillsExcel proficiency for financial modeling and cost analysis; Tableau is a plusStrong communication, attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through
