EHS Engineer

This position sits within Intel’s Environmental Health and Safety organization and supports the Ocotillo site and broader factory operations. The engineer will assess chemical, equipment, process, and facility risks, recommend effective engineering or administrative controls, and guide the introduction of new technologies and equipment. Responsibilities also include exposure monitoring, incident root-cause investigations, regulatory recordkeeping, employee training, and collaboration with manufacturing and cross-site teams. The role suits an experienced EHS or industrial hygiene professional who can apply engineering judgment, communicate clearly with varied audiences, and drive practical improvements in a complex manufacturing environment. Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience and CIH or CSP certification would be valuable advantages.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or engineering with 4+ years of EHS management experienceProficiency in workplace hazard evaluation techniques and regulatory compliance frameworksExperience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planningStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex safety requirementsSound engineering judgment and technical problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively across business teams and represent site-level EHS interests
