Principal Security Operations Engineer

This principal-level engineer will shape the technical strategy for protecting Axon’s Kubernetes platforms, cloud infrastructure, and containerized workloads. They will modernize security application delivery, build infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD guardrails, and improve observability and operational resilience across critical services. The position involves close collaboration with platform engineering, SRE, product security, and development teams, along with leadership during complex incidents and architecture initiatives. The engineer will also reduce operational toil through automation, establish engineering standards, and mentor other engineers without having direct reports. It is well suited to an experienced security, infrastructure, platform, or SRE leader who can influence broad technical direction and operate effectively in large-scale environments.
