Principal Systems Engineer - Requirements Development & Management (Onsite)

This engineer will create, refine, maintain, and verify system requirements across development and production efforts while helping ensure program documentation remains technically sound. Working within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization, the position partners with engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, technical leadership, customers, and integrated product teams. Responsibilities include supporting design and qualification testing, integration activities, failure investigations, trade studies, test software verification, and system performance analysis. The role also includes mentoring less experienced engineers and facilitating knowledge sharing across teams. It is well suited to an experienced defense or aerospace systems engineer who is comfortable working independently on complex effectors or missile-related programs and who holds or can obtain the required U.S. security clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant experienceExperience developing system requirements specifications and managing requirements processesBackground in systems engineering, verification strategies, and qualification testingExperience supporting integration, system verification, and test activitiesU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearanceStrong collaboration, mentoring, trade study, and technical communication skills
