Engineer II, Equipment Engineering

This engineer will provide hands-on support for advanced R&D equipment throughout installation, upgrades, testing, preventive maintenance, and daily operation. The position contributes to first builds and new product development by working with hardware, electrical, process, software, and facilities partners. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment problems, identifying root causes, documenting maintenance procedures, following safety practices, and escalating complex issues when needed. The engineer will also participate in improvement efforts focused on equipment uptime, reliability, efficiency, and usability. It suits an early-career semiconductor equipment professional with practical troubleshooting experience who wants to grow in a collaborative research environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering1–3+ years of semiconductor equipment support experienceHands-on installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting experienceUnderstanding of wafer fab operations, gas and vacuum systems, and equipment controlsFamiliarity with cleanroom or laboratory safety and chemical or gas handlingStrong troubleshooting approach; thin-film, plasma, robotics, or controls experience is a plus
