Quality Assurance and Control Engineer - New FAB Construction Department

This engineer will manage day-to-day quality activities on a large-scale FAB construction site, ensuring work conforms to approved plans, specifications, contracts, codes, and industry standards. Key responsibilities include inspecting welds and installations, monitoring multi-level inspections, reviewing submittals, coordinating testing agencies, tracking rework, and producing quality reports. The position works closely with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders through meetings and site observations. It suits a construction quality professional with experience in industrial or semiconductor projects, strong knowledge of applicable codes, and the ability to interpret technical documents and resolve field issues. The role is fully onsite and involves outdoor work, lifting, climbing, elevated or confined-space access, and exposure to industrial conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field5+ years of large project and construction management experienceKnowledge of industrial construction codes and standards (ASME B31.3, NFPA 70, NFPA 54, IBC Chapter 17)Proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 FieldCWI certification or equivalent welding quality inspection credentials preferredAbility to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ in demanding physical conditions including elevated work and confined spaces
