Operations Research Engineer
This position develops and applies optimization algorithms, heuristics, simulations, and decision-support models for Intel’s fabrication, assembly, testing, and supply chain operations. The engineer partners with business and technical teams to identify operational root causes, define requirements, and deliver solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and supply performance. The work combines operations research theory with practical programming, database, scheduling, and semiconductor manufacturing knowledge. It is well suited to someone with graduate-level training in a quantitative engineering discipline and experience solving complex production or logistics problems. The role is based primarily in Phoenix, with additional possible locations in Folsom and Hillsboro, and requires on-site work.
