GNC Engineer: Aerodynamics (Level 5) Chandler (AHT)

This engineer will guide launch vehicle aerodynamic work from early concept development through integration, testing, and flight support. Responsibilities include creating six-degree-of-freedom aerodynamic models, evaluating performance and stability tradeoffs, conducting aeroelastic and venting analyses, and using CFD and specialized aerospace software across multiple flight regimes. The position also involves planning wind tunnel campaigns, coordinating schedules and staffing, reviewing team output, and presenting technical conclusions to customers and senior leadership. It is a fully onsite role with a 9/80 schedule and limited travel. This opportunity is best suited to an experienced aerospace professional with strong technical leadership, launch vehicle or flight dynamics expertise, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience8–12+ years of professional experience depending on education levelExperience developing six-degree-of-freedom aerodynamic modelsProficiency with Python and LinuxAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearanceExperience with wind tunnel testing, CFD, or launch vehicle aerodynamics preferred
