Chemical Lab Equipment Technician

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This technician supports the stability and availability of advanced analytical systems such as ICP-MS, GC-MS, ion chromatography, and related laboratory equipment. The work includes scheduled maintenance, calibration, first-level fault diagnosis, vendor escalation, inventory tracking, and assisting with new laboratory installations and utility hookups. The technician will coordinate with Facilities, engineering teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers during construction and commissioning activities. The position suits someone with a technical or scientific degree who enjoys hands-on equipment work, can follow strict safety procedures, and remains effective in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Phoenix, using cleanroom and chemical PPE, handling physical tasks, and potentially traveling to Taiwan for extended training.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant science, engineering, or technical fieldExperience with chemical safety, OSHA practices, and pressurized utilitiesFamiliarity with CMMS, LIMS, or manufacturing information systemsHands-on experience with analytical instruments or chemical laboratory equipmentAbility to interpret technical drawings, equipment specifications, and P&ID diagramsAbility to work onsite, wear cleanroom/PPE gear, lift up to 35 pounds, and travel to Taiwan if needed
