GNC Engineer: Aerodynamics (Level 4) Chandler (AHT)

This engineer will guide aerodynamic development for launch vehicles, including configuration studies, stability and control assessments, aeroelastic analysis, venting analysis, and simulation model creation. The role is part of the GNC Aerodynamics Engineering Team and involves coordinating technical work with program teams, assigning tasks, managing schedules, and presenting results to leadership and customers. It also includes planning and overseeing transonic and supersonic wind tunnel testing and using CFD and other specialized aerospace analysis tools. The position suits an experienced aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineer who has worked on launch vehicle aerodynamics and can provide cross-functional technical leadership. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance and work onsite in Chandler on a 9/80 schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s, 6+ with a master’s, or 4+ with a PhDExperience developing six-degree-of-freedom aerodynamic modelsProficiency with Python and the Linux operating systemAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearanceExperience with wind tunnel testing, CFD, or cross-functional technical leadership preferred
