Module Equipment Engineer

This engineer is part of TSMC Arizona’s module engineering organization supporting equipment used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include commissioning new tools, troubleshooting alarms and complex failures, identifying root causes, and developing monitoring or preventive systems to improve reliability. The position also involves coordinating vendors and serving as a technical link among facilities, manufacturing shifts, and engineering groups. It suits a hands-on engineer who can analyze problems, adapt quickly, communicate across teams, and take ownership in a high-volume production setting. Candidates should be prepared for cleanroom work, rotating night shifts, compressed work schedules, on-call coverage, and possible emergency response duties.

Requirements

Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent fieldsWorking experience knowledge in mechanical-related or semiconductor processes preferredAcademic skills of numerical analysis, statistics, optics, chemistry, or physicsAt least 1 year experience in semiconductor industry as Equipment Engineer is a strong addAble to lift weight consistent with applicable regulations and/or safety guidelines, including NIOSH lifting recommendationsAble to work in a cleanroom environment, gowning up in coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses and glovesSpend significant amount of time on the factory floor working on the toolsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAble to take initiatives, adapt priorities and responsibilities to support business needsHands-on participant with a strong sense of ownershipTeam player with leadership skills that can multitaskGoal driven with demonstrated ability of working in a high performing team cultureQuick assimilation to new technologyAbility to troubleshoot complex problems and own efforts to address and resolve root causesLegally eligible to work in the United States
