Advanced Space Systems Engineer (Sign-on Bonus Available)

This engineer will guide systems engineering activities across the development lifecycle, including requirements definition and management, architecture, trade studies, integration, verification, validation, and interface analysis. The work supports space systems that use digital signal processing algorithms across hardware and software, with potential focus areas such as radar processing, RF mitigation, communications, and phased arrays. The position sits within GDMS’s advanced systems and national security engineering environment and may involve technical leadership, customer engagement, and collaboration across disciplines. Candidates with experience in DSP, MATLAB, Python, SmallSats or CubeSats, hardware-in-the-loop testing, payload development, Agile practices, or model-based systems engineering may be especially well suited. It is intended for an experienced systems engineer who can communicate effectively, lead technical efforts, and qualify for U.S. government classified access.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or related STEM field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 3 yearsU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceExperience with systems engineering lifecycle, requirements management, and system architectureDigital signal processing, communications, radar, or RF systems experience preferredStrong communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and negotiation skillsExperience with tools or methods such as MATLAB, Python, Agile, CI/CD, or MBSE preferred
