The Engineer II, Systems Engineering role is a technical leadership position focused on driving reliability strategies, qualification programs, and product improvements across ASM's semiconductor equipment platforms. You'll own system-level reliability engineering activities, lead complex failure analysis investigations, and influence product design decisions by working closely with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams. This role suits experienced engineers who excel at systems thinking, can lead without direct management responsibility, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving technical decisions that impact business outcomes. You'll mentor junior engineers, establish engineering best practices, and serve as the subject matter expert for reliability and product performance across multiple concurrent development programs. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Physics, or related technical disciplineExperience in reliability, systems, product development, qualification, or related engineering functionsDemonstrated experience leading complex technical projects and cross-functional teamsAdvanced experience performing Failure Analysis and Root Cause AnalysisExperience developing and executing reliability test plans and qualification programsStrong understanding of product lifecycle development processes
