Senior Software Engineer

This senior engineer will help turn emerging AI capabilities into dependable products used in public safety and education. Responsibilities span LLM evaluation and observability, retrieval and guardrails, backend services, audio and telephony integrations, cloud infrastructure, and agency-specific platform extensions. The engineer will also implement security and privacy controls and support evidence collection for SOC 2 and CJIS-related assessments. The position includes ownership across design, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and production support, along with mentoring and technical leadership. It suits an experienced software engineer who enjoys hands-on work in Python and public cloud environments and is motivated by building secure technology for regulated or government settings.

Requirements

6+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong Python, backend services, APIs, and data-processing skillsProduction experience with LLM APIs, retrieval, embeddings, evaluation, or observabilityExperience with AWS, Azure, or another major public-cloud platformStrong focus on security, reliability, debugging, and maintainabilityBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science
