Senior Systems Engineer

This engineer works within Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test organization on fielded and developing missile programs across the full systems engineering lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing requirements and architectures in tools such as Cameo, coordinating interfaces, guiding integration and qualification testing, and investigating system failures or performance issues. The position also involves customer engagement, supplier oversight, technical documentation, verification reviews, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams. As a senior contributor, the employee is expected to mentor colleagues, lead cross-functional activities, and become a primary systems engineering authority for the program. It suits an experienced systems engineer with defense, missile, hardware/software integration, MBSE, requirements, and test experience who can work onsite in Tucson and obtain the required U.S. security clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experienceExperience with software, firmware, configurable logic, hardware integration, or testKnowledge of MBSE, systems architecture, requirements development, management, or verificationU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance before startingExperience with Cameo, DOORS, or related requirements and product data management toolsStrong collaboration, technical presentation, trade study, mentoring, and troubleshooting skills
