The Principal Engineer serves as the technical authority for mixed-signal IP within Microchip’s Mixed Signal Development Group, supporting wireline and other advanced SoC applications. The position defines interfaces, integration methods, verification strategies, and clocking requirements, while evaluating or licensing internal and external IP. It also involves directing vendor customization, resolving issues with design and manufacturing teams, and supporting post-silicon characterization and debug. The successful candidate will bring substantial analog and mixed-signal design experience, strong system-level judgment, and the ability to lead cross-functional technical decisions. Requirements

Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 10+ years of analog/mixed-signal IP design and SoC integration experience (or Master's with 7.5+ years)Deep expertise in PLLs, high-speed SERDES, PVT sensors, and IO designStrong understanding of SoC architecture and digital-analog interface challengesProficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for design, simulation, and verificationExcellent written and oral communication skills with proven technical leadership abilitiesExperience with PCIe, SAS, SATA, Ethernet protocols or Chiplet technologies preferred
