Facilities Electrical Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer serves as the technical owner for the fab’s electrical distribution and backup power systems, ensuring they meet capacity, redundancy, safety, code, and equipment-manufacturer requirements. The position develops maintenance and operating documentation, evaluates preventive and corrective work, investigates failures, and coordinates with electricians, contractors, utility providers, and internal stakeholders. It also supports facility expansion through design reviews, specifications, cost estimates, infrastructure planning, and electrical studies such as arc-flash and coordination analysis. The role suits an experienced electrical engineer who can work independently, lead technical investigations, communicate clearly across disciplines, and guide field personnel in a demanding manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable with on-site work, physical and environmental conditions, rotating or extended shifts, on-call coverage, and possible emergency response duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering1–5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience; 5–10 years preferredExperience developing electrical design deliverables for capital projectsKnowledge of electrical codes, regulations, maintenance practices, and industrial power systemsProficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SKM/EzPower, or ETAPAbility to work on-site in Phoenix and support rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and emergency response
