Manufacturing Planning Specialist

This position supports GDMS manufacturing operations by translating program demand into practical production and material plans. The specialist manages master schedules, forecasts, inventory objectives, procurement planning, and material compliance while coordinating with supply chain teams and internal production areas. Responsibilities also include handling outsourced manufacturing requests, obtaining accurate job quotes, monitoring vendor commitments, and resolving scheduling, financial, or material issues. The role requires attention to engineering changes and their impact on bills of material, as well as familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and regulated environments. It would suit a detail-oriented planner who can manage competing priorities, collaborate across functions, and improve processes through technology such as AI.
