Fire Protection Engineer, EHS

This engineer partners with facilities, EHS, construction, maintenance, vendors, regulators, and insurers to protect employees and buildings across the site. Responsibilities include creating maintenance procedures, reviewing designs, overseeing field quality, correcting system deficiencies, and coordinating work through a computerized maintenance system. The position also supports technician training, system programming, commissioning, and decisions about internal versus contracted work. It is suited to a fire protection or related engineering professional with experience in industrial design, construction, code compliance, and fire/life-safety systems. The work is based onsite in Phoenix and may involve outdoor work, elevated areas, confined spaces, and varied weather conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related engineering fieldKnowledge of NFPA, ICC, local codes, and AHJ requirementsExperience with fire suppression, alarm, detection, and life-safety systemsAbility to review construction drawings, specifications, and control diagramsExperience with design reviews, commissioning, and technical documentationAbility to work at heights, in confined spaces, and across indoor/outdoor site areas
