Senior Employment Tax and Payroll Analyst

This position supports TSMC Arizona’s payroll and employment tax function by overseeing complex U.S. payroll activities for employees reported through multiple entities. The analyst handles tax withholding, fringe benefits, assignment-related reporting, payroll adjustments, reconciliations, records, and variance resolution while helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The role also partners with HR, Finance, Accounting, auditors, and payroll technology teams to resolve issues and improve system accuracy. It suits an experienced employment tax or global mobility professional who is highly analytical, organized, service-oriented, and comfortable handling sensitive payroll matters. The position is onsite in Phoenix and may require coordination with TSMC’s headquarters team in a UTC+8 time zone.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field; 6+ years employment tax, global mobility tax, or international individual income tax experienceStrong knowledge of IRS regulations, U.S. tax residency rules, and payroll tax functions including preparation and internal controlsAdvanced Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platformsOutstanding analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to accuracy and strong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentAbility to work with UTC+8 time zone team when necessary; Mandarin proficiency preferred; US CPA or CPP certification preferred
