Senior Linux Administrator II

This position supports the design, standardization, deployment, monitoring, and retirement of Linux systems across Microchip’s worldwide engineering infrastructure. The administrator will work extensively with RHEL-based platforms, Satellite or Foreman, Ansible, virtualization and container technologies, monitoring systems, and scripting languages. Responsibilities include capacity and performance management, incident response, root cause analysis, documentation, and escalation support through an on-call rotation. The role works closely with globally distributed engineering teams and requires independent judgment, strong communication, and a focus on reliable, scalable operations. It is well suited to an experienced Linux infrastructure professional who enjoys automation, large data center environments, and providing technical guidance to others.
