Mechanical Critical Facilities Engineer, Data Center

This position sits within Apple’s Infrastructure Services and Data Center Operations organizations, supporting the mechanical systems behind large-scale computing environments. The engineer will evaluate HVAC, cooling, humidity, water-treatment, and related infrastructure to protect availability and maintain stable operating conditions. They will produce technical documentation, analyze facility data, guide implementation and maintenance work, and collaborate with multiple teams on upgrades and efficiency initiatives. The role may involve tools for computational fluid dynamics and building-system design, as well as technologies such as economization, free cooling, and remote monitoring.
