Fab IT Service Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This position is part of TSMC Arizona’s IT operations function and helps keep manufacturing automation and related systems available and effective. The engineer investigates complex issues passed from first-line support, leads cross-team incident resolution, and works with DevOps groups to address root causes and strengthen system performance. The role also involves creating scripts or tools, supporting user and engineering analysis, and training less-experienced support staff. It suits a technically versatile, service-oriented professional who communicates well with users, project managers, vendors, and development teams. The successful candidate should be comfortable with changing priorities, on-site work in Phoenix, normal weekday hours, and occasional urgent support outside those hours.

Requirements

Programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#, or a comparable languageStrong SQL skills with relational databasesAdvanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and automation mindsetClear communication and collaboration with users, DevOps teams, and vendorsMaster’s degree in a related field, or bachelor’s degree plus 2–3 years of relevant IT experienceWillingness to work on-site in Phoenix and participate in periodic on-call support
