EHS Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This position serves as a central EHS resource for TSMC Arizona, helping shape site-wide safety strategy and maintain compliance with federal and Arizona requirements. The engineer partners with construction, facilities, materials management, warehouses, management, and industrial hygiene teams to resolve safety concerns and implement effective programs. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor plans, monitoring regulatory changes, assessing equipment and waste practices, supporting management-of-change activities, and tracking safety performance. The role combines technical compliance work with field inspections, training oversight, risk assessment, and communication across departments. It would suit an experienced industrial safety professional who is organized, collaborative, comfortable in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, and able to work on-site in Phoenix.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing EHS experienceKnowledge of RCRA, wastewater, OSHA, DOT, and Arizona safety regulationsExperience with risk assessments, hazard analyses, and regulatory complianceStrong written, verbal, presentation, and teamwork skillsAbility to work on-site, move throughout the facility, and travel to Taiwan for training if needed
