Facilities Mechanical Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer will support the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of cleanroom environments, chilled water systems, exhaust and abatement equipment, and facility utility distribution. The position combines daily operational monitoring and troubleshooting with construction oversight, preventive maintenance, data analysis, and collaboration on major facility projects. It contributes to efficient and sustainable manufacturing through utility conservation, recycling, emissions reduction, and other environmental initiatives. The engineer works within a 24/7 semiconductor fabrication environment and may participate in rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and mandatory emergency response duties. It suits a mechanically skilled, collaborative professional with engineering training, facilities or HVAC experience, strong communication abilities, and the flexibility to work onsite under demanding physical and scheduling conditions.

Requirements

B.S. in mechanical, HVAC/R, chemical engineering, or related fieldKnowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and applicable building codesUnderstanding of heat transfer, thermal management, and fluid dynamicsAutoCAD proficiencyAt least 1 year of work or internship experience preferredAbility to work onsite, shifts, emergency overtime, and on-call rotations
