Facilities Electrical Technician

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This position is part of TSMC’s Facilities team and helps keep critical site power and building systems reliable and safe. Duties include servicing substations, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS equipment, motors, controls, cabling, and temporary power installations, as well as diagnosing faults and completing preventive maintenance. The technician reads schematics and technical codes, uses electrical testing instruments, records work activities, and may coordinate vendors or support system shutdowns. The role may also involve Emergency Response Team participation, overtime, and work in demanding indoor and outdoor conditions. It suits an experienced electrical tradesperson who is comfortable with medium- and high-voltage systems, safety-critical procedures, independent troubleshooting, and teamwork in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

High school diplomaCurrent journeyman or master electrician certificationLevel 1 Thermography certificationKnowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, arc-flash safety, and medium/high-voltage systemsExperience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and power distribution maintenanceComputer proficiency with Word, Excel, and CMMS software
