Program Cost Controls Principal Specialist

This position supports the financial execution of a large and strategically important defense development program, including its primary contract and newly awarded follow-on work. The specialist will maintain earned value management processes, analyze cost and schedule variances, prepare required customer reports, and help establish and manage program baselines. Responsibilities also include reviewing forecasts, developing estimates such as EAC and LRE, and contributing to monthly close, annual planning, and long-range financial activities. The role works across finance, Control Account Managers, Integrated Product Team leads, and other functional groups to deliver accurate reporting on schedule. It suits an analytical finance or program-controls professional who communicates well, manages competing deadlines, and holds an active Secret clearance as a U.S. citizen.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related field plus relevant experienceAt least 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3 years of experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Word or PowerPointExperience with ERP or financial reporting systems such as SAP or PRISMKnowledge of accounting principles and practicesActive transferable Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship
