Senior Engineer II, Technical Support

This role focuses on managing the entire lifecycle of new tool introductions at semiconductor manufacturing facilities, from initial demo lab work through customer ramp and full operational readiness. You will coordinate between ASM's engineering and product support teams and regional field operations to ensure tools are properly installed, validated, and that local teams are fully trained for independent support. The position requires extensive travel (50%+ minimum) to customer sites and manufacturing facilities across multiple regions to oversee installations, troubleshoot technical issues, and mentor field service engineers. This opportunity suits senior technical professionals with strong semiconductor or specialized equipment experience who excel at problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and can thrive in fast-paced, complex technical environments. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Computer Science (or equivalent technical training); or Associate's degree with 6+ years in-fab experience3+ years experience at ASM or directly related experience with ALD, PEALD, EPI, PECVD, or CVD technologies5+ years in semiconductor or electronics industry preferredProven experience supporting tool installation, qualification, and ramp in semiconductor fabsStrong structured troubleshooting and escalation management skillsAdvanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and system-level hardware/software/process concepts
