Software Test Engineer I
This position supports Raytheon’s Test Solutions Engineering organization by creating software tools that control, evaluate, and validate specialized defense-system hardware. The engineer will translate system needs into software requirements and designs, build object-oriented applications, and improve test accuracy and reliability through troubleshooting and optimization. The work involves close coordination with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers, along with participation in design reviews, peer reviews, and defect resolution. Development follows both Agile and Waterfall processes and may support laboratory demonstrations, qualification activities, production testing, and sustainment. It is well suited to an early-career STEM graduate with programming and Windows development experience who enjoys solving software and hardware integration problems.
