Senior Systems Engineer - Requirements Development/Requirements Management (Onsite)

This engineer will join Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization and help ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and technically rigorous throughout the system lifecycle. Responsibilities include refining requirements documentation, supporting design and qualification testing, guiding integration efforts, participating in failure investigations, and contributing to system performance assessments. The position also involves collaborating with subject matter experts, technical and program leadership, customers, and multiple integrated product teams. It is well suited to an experienced systems engineer with defense or aerospace experience who can work independently, communicate across disciplines, and provide technical mentorship. The role is fully onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before starting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with minimum 5 years of engineering experienceDemonstrated experience developing system requirements specifications and managing requirements processesBackground in systems engineering including CONOPS development, system architecture, and requirements verification strategiesExperience with verification and qualification testing activitiesActive or transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret level); U.S. citizenship requiredPreferred: Master's/PhD, missile program experience, MBSE/Model-Based Systems Engineering knowledge, DOORS or cPDM tools familiarity
