Principal Systems Engineer - Requirements Development/Requirements Management (Top Secret)

This engineer will create, maintain, and improve system requirements and supporting documentation across development and production activities. They will guide verification planning, system performance analysis, integration and test work, failure investigations, and technical trade studies while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, subject matter experts, customers, and program leadership. The position is part of Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization and supports the full systems lifecycle for an effectors project. It also includes mentoring engineers and facilitating knowledge sharing across integrated and cross-functional teams. The role suits an experienced systems engineer with strong requirements and verification expertise, defense or missile-program experience, and an active Top Secret clearance who can work independently onsite in Tucson.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 8 years of relevant experienceExperience developing system requirements specifications and managing requirements processesSystems engineering experience with architecture, CONOPS, or verification planningExperience with verification, qualification, integration, and test activitiesActive, transferable Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship requiredAbility to collaborate across disciplines and mentor engineering team members
