As a Sr HWIL Electrical Engineer, you'll lead the design and validation of complex electrical systems and hardware components used in defense and aerospace applications. This role sits within RTX's engineering organization and requires hands-on expertise in electronic design, FPGA development, and hardware integration testing. You'll apply your background in circuit design, embedded systems, and test methodologies to solve mission-critical problems. The position suits experienced electrical engineers who enjoy bridging hardware and firmware, working with real-time systems, and taking ownership of designs from conception through validation. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure products meet stringent performance and reliability requirements while optimizing for cost and manufacturability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with minimum 5 years of professional electrical engineering design and test experienceProficiency with CAD and schematic tools (Altium, DX Designer, Mentor, Creo) and FPGA development (Xilinx Vivado, VHDL, Verilog)Hands-on experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and power metersActive or transferable DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredPreferred experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, embedded systems programming, and analog/digital/RF designStrong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical communication skills
