EHS ERC, Safety Technician

This position is part of the site Emergency Response and Environmental, Health, and Safety function in Phoenix, Arizona. The technician monitors fire alarms, toxic gas systems, chemical and gas distribution systems, and emergency communications, then evaluates and responds to fire, medical, chemical, and other incidents. The role maintains emergency equipment and supplies, supports response facilities, and helps design, conduct, and assess drills and tabletop exercises. It also includes safety audits and inspections across indoor and outdoor areas, along with training personnel on emergency procedures and evacuation. This opportunity suits someone with hands-on safety audit experience who can work independently, collaborate effectively, address unsafe conditions professionally, and remain composed during emergencies and changing shifts.

Requirements

High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred3+ years of safety audit experienceOSHA 30-hour training certification (preferred)Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systemsAbility to work compressed and varying shifts including nightsCapability to respond effectively under pressure in emergency situations
