Facilities Water Technician

This technician supports the Facilities team by operating ultrapure water, process cooling water, and industrial wastewater treatment equipment. Daily work includes controlling pumps, filtration, chemical feed, pH systems, heat exchangers, and related instrumentation while collecting samples and recording operating data. The technician performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, investigates process issues, and helps keep systems within environmental and production requirements. The position suits someone with industrial equipment experience, practical troubleshooting ability, basic water-treatment knowledge, and strong attention to safety and documentation. It is an onsite role requiring physical work in varied conditions, including climbing, confined-space access, lifting, and potential Emergency Response Team participation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required5+ years experience with process piping systems in industrial settingsFundamental understanding of RO technology, ion exchange, pumping, filtration and automationAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound decision-making abilitiesPhysical capability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions
