Industrial Engineer - Foundry Strategic Capacity

As part of Intel’s Foundry Capacity Optimization organization, this industrial engineer helps shape factory space, equipment, capital, and capacity decisions across the manufacturing network. The work involves translating product roadmaps, demand uncertainty, factory capabilities, and operational data into capacity models and actionable recommendations for leadership. The role also supports equipment scheduling, facility planning, layout development, performance monitoring, and execution planning in partnership with manufacturing, technology, and finance teams. It suits an experienced industrial, manufacturing, systems, or operations professional who is comfortable with quantitative analysis, strategic planning, and complex cross-functional initiatives. Candidates with semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing experience, advanced analytics skills, and Lean or Six Sigma backgrounds would be especially well aligned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, or related field with 4+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years experience, OR PhDAdvanced proficiency in manufacturing systems design, process optimization, and data analysis with hands-on simulation software or statistical analysis toolsStrong Excel skills including advanced analytics and modeling capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency in programming languages or data visualization tools such as Python, R, SQL, or Power BIStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred
