Life Safety Systems Engineer (Construction Management)

This engineer will support the New FAB Design Department by managing on-site implementation of fire alarms, suppression systems, gas detection, emergency responder radio coverage, and related life safety infrastructure. Responsibilities include reviewing technical submittals and drawings, inspecting work, tracking construction progress, answering RFIs, and documenting project meetings and decisions. The position works closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain construction safety, quality, schedule, and regulatory compliance. It also contributes to commissioning and handover to confirm systems perform as designed. The role suits an early-career fire protection, mechanical engineering, or construction professional with U.S. construction experience who is comfortable working on-site in Phoenix.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management, or equivalent semiconductor experience1–3 years of U.S. fire construction or related experienceExperience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, or submittalsAbility to coordinate contractors and conduct field inspectionsKnowledge of life safety systems, codes, and construction quality practicesWillingness and ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona
