Mechanical Engineer I (Onsite)

This position joins Raytheon’s Hardware Engineering organization in Tucson to develop mechanical components, assemblies, and larger system hardware for mission-critical defense programs. The engineer will use 3D CAD and engineering drawings to create designs, then assess fit, performance, and manufacturability through simulation, prototyping, testing, and design reviews. The work spans the product lifecycle and includes collaboration with systems, electrical, manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams to address hardware issues and support integration. Occasional travel within the United States may be needed, while international assignments are optional. It suits an early-career mechanical or aerospace engineer with hands-on project experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
