Senior Engineer I, Mechanical Engineering

This position develops complex mechanical systems such as motion stages, wafer-handling equipment, vacuum hardware, and related semiconductor capital equipment. The engineer creates CAD models and drawings, performs structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses, and supports prototype verification and production readiness. The role also includes project planning, design reviews, engineering change orders, customer-site discussions, and coordination with manufacturing, controls, suppliers, and other technical groups. It suits a collaborative mechanical engineer who enjoys robotics, automation, precision design, and solving challenging hardware problems under demanding schedules. Experience with semiconductor equipment, GD&T, controls, safety standards, and tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or Python would be valuable.

Requirements

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferredAt least 3 years designing complex mechanical systemsExperience with automation stages, wafer handling, vacuum, or semiconductor equipmentProficiency with Creo and AutoCAD; Microsoft applicationsKnowledge of materials, surface finishes, and GD&T standardsStrong problem-solving, communication, project coordination, and teamwork skills
