Ocotillo Failure Analysis Technician – TEM Prep

This technician will use Dual Beam FIB/PFIB, SEM, optical imaging, coating, and related tools to create site-specific samples for transmission electron microscopy. The position is part of Intel’s manufacturing and engineering organization, supporting product reliability, failure analysis, and process improvement. Daily work includes wafer handling, sample fabrication from technical instructions, documentation, equipment upkeep, and collaboration with engineers and analysts. The role is well suited to an early-career technician with laboratory, semiconductor, materials analysis, or technical manufacturing experience who is detail-oriented and eager to learn advanced microscopy methods. Candidates must be able to work a compressed 12-hour shift, meet physical requirements, and satisfy U.S. citizenship and security-clearance conditions.

High school diploma plus 1+ year relevant experience, or an AA/AS degreeHands-on exposure to electron microscopy, polishing, or comparable analysis methodsBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed proceduresAbility to use failure-analysis tracking and reporting systemsU.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government security clearanceAbility to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
