Assistant Plant Manager

This position supports the Plant Manager in directing daily operations at an on-site electronics gas facility, with a strong focus on uptime, service reliability, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will act as a key customer contact, oversee quality systems and improvement activities, and coordinate preventive maintenance and outage communications for the Central Utility Plant. The role also manages resources, critical assets, compliance activities, and operational readiness during commissioning and turnaround work. In addition, it provides supervision, coaching, performance management, and technical development for technicians, engineers, and laboratory staff. It is suited to an experienced operations or engineering leader who has worked in high-consequence industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, nuclear, or related manufacturing environments and can bridge technical, quality, and customer-facing responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experienceAt least 11 years of operational leadership experience in a high-stakes industrial environmentAt least 11 years of engineering experience in chemical processing, industrial gas, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturingExperience managing customer relationships and outage, maintenance, or commissioning communicationsKnowledge of ISO/QMS, FMEA, SPC, root-cause analysis, PDCA, CAPA, and measurement system analysisFamiliarity with Central Utility Plants, gas distribution, analytical equipment, and preventive maintenance
