Open role
Senior Mechanical Engineer - Thermal Engineer
This engineer will address thermal design challenges using hand calculations, finite element and specialized thermal analysis tools, and practical heat-transfer methods. The position supports programs from early trade studies through qualification, production support, and fielded-system activities, including planning tests, reducing test data, and correlating models. The engineer will document results, participate in peer reviews, communicate findings to customers and government stakeholders, and help manage work to cost and schedule commitments. The role sits within Raytheon’s Mechanical Analysis and Test organization, which provides structural and thermal engineering and validation services across its product portfolio. It suits an experienced thermal analyst who can work independently, collaborate across engineering disciplines, obtain a U.S. security clearance, and potentially lead analysis or test teams.
