Senior Electrical Engineer II, Robotics

This engineer will own electronic hardware development from early concepts through manufacturing, including mixed-signal circuit design, PCB collaboration, component selection, testing, and regulatory evaluation. The position sits within Axon’s Robotics Electrical Engineering organization and works closely with firmware, mechanical, product, manufacturing, suppliers, and global engineering partners. Much of the work involves bringing up and troubleshooting dense, high-speed embedded systems using laboratory equipment and automation scripts. The successful candidate will also improve design quality through reviews, documentation, simulations, and production test planning. It is well suited to an experienced electrical engineer who can independently lead complex hardware programs while developing less experienced teammates and supporting products used in public safety.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline9+ years of electronics design experience with high-speed digital systems, embedded processors, memory interfaces, and digital busesProficiency in schematic design tools (Cadence/OrCAD preferred) and PCB layout collaboration (rigid, flex, rigid-flex)Hands-on expertise with oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and circuit bring-up/debugExperience designing for EMI/ESD compliance and regulatory standards (FCC, CE, IEC)Strong collaboration skills with firmware, PCB, and mechanical engineers across geographically distributed teams
