This position is part of Raytheon’s Systems Security Engineering team and focuses on protecting sensitive military technologies throughout their design and deployment. The engineer will define security requirements and architectures, assess threats and critical program information, and guide implementation across system and subsystem levels. Responsibilities also include planning work, estimating resources, managing risks, supporting program leadership, and ensuring compliance with defense technology-release and export requirements. The role suits an experienced systems security professional with strong embedded security and defense-program experience who can translate complex threats into practical engineering solutions. An active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to work onsite in Tucson are required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 8 years of relevant systems security or anti-tamper experienceActive, transferable DoD Secret security clearance with U.S. citizenshipDemonstrated expertise in designing and fielding real-time embedded security solutions for DoD programsProficiency in developing security requirements, architectures, and compliance documentationStrong knowledge of attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information assessmentsExperience with DoD directives, cryptography, and multi-domain system integration
