This engineer joins RTX’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization in Tucson, supporting effector programs deployed from maritime, land, air, and space platforms. The work spans hardware buildup, software and system integration, environmental and qualification testing, platform interfaces, and flight-test mission execution. Responsibilities include creating test strategies and procedures, preparing and certifying test assets, monitoring results, diagnosing failures, analyzing performance data, and documenting outcomes for technical reviews. The engineer will coordinate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, military personnel, and test ranges, while occasionally leading smaller integration and test teams. This opportunity suits an experienced systems or test engineer who is comfortable working hands-on in secure defense environments, communicating technical findings, and traveling to test locations for limited-duration assignments.
