Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Technician

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This technician will join the Facilities team supporting automation and instrumentation systems throughout TSMC Arizona’s Fab21 operation. Core work includes maintaining calibration programs, troubleshooting PLC and SCADA equipment, managing control-panel logic and backups, monitoring communications, and tuning control loops. The position involves close coordination with system engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve issues and keep factory systems operating safely around the clock. It suits candidates with hands-on industrial controls experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to interpret electrical, instrumentation, and P&ID drawings. Applicants should also be comfortable with physical field work, PPE, elevated or confined-space environments, and rotating or compressed shifts at the Phoenix site.

Requirements

High school diploma1–5 years of industrial automation maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting experienceWorking knowledge of PLCs, RSLogix 5000, ladder logic, and HMI interfacesExperience with PID controls, variable frequency drives, and instrumentation calibrationAbility to interpret electrical, instrumentation loop, and P&ID drawingsWillingness to work onsite, rotating shifts, compressed workweeks, and physically demanding conditions
