Facilities Water Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer serves as the technical owner for ultrapure water, process cooling water, industrial reclaim, and industrial waste treatment systems within the Facilities organization. The work combines operational support, data analysis, root-cause investigation, capacity forecasting, reliability improvement, cost control, and assistance with facility design and construction projects. The role also develops maintenance plans, operating procedures, training materials, and troubleshooting guidance while coordinating closely with technicians, contractors, service providers, and internal customers. Experienced engineers may mentor junior staff and help standardize best practices across the site. This position suits an engineering professional who is comfortable in industrial or semiconductor environments, can work independently during urgent system issues, and is prepared for field conditions, PPE requirements, and possible emergency response duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science fieldExperience with facilities, water treatment, industrial waste, or ultrapure water systemsAbility to troubleshoot systems and perform root-cause and reliability analysisAbility to read engineering drawings and support design, commissioning, and projectsStrong technical writing, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in industrial environments and meet physical and PPE requirements
